SUITETOOTH'S COMEDY STYLE
SuiteTooth Comedy’s collective style balances smart absurdism, emotional sincerity, and experimental structure. Their sketches are often high-concept but character-driven, with recurring themes of existential discomfort, social dynamics, and meta-commentary. Think "Mr. Show" meets "Nathan for You," with a live-theatre edge and a dose of heartfelt weirdness. Whether it’s a podcast episode, a digital short, or a live improv set, the trio blends their unique sensibilities into work that’s as funny as it is unexpectedly poignant.

KY CRAVENS
Ky is a Midwestener turned New Yorker. Some of you may know him as a guy or an all around great guy - and you’d be right. You can see him in his own video podcast “The Ky Cravens Show” and performing weekly onstage at Magnet Theatre and UCB. His interests involve Norm Macdonald bits, Bukowski poems, small plates, realism, beating everyone in Smash Bros., and smelling good. He’s committed to bringing SuiteTooth to the forefront of the NYC comedy scene and is always open to talking improv theory.
Comedic Style
Whimsical sincerity with an undercurrent of deadpan absurdism.
Ky Cravens brings a subtle unpredictability to every performance—whether he's playing the affable everyman or twisting a simple premise into an existential tailspin. His style blends the quirky specificity of Norm Macdonald with the poetic irreverence of Bukowski, resulting in characters that feel grounded but just off enough to spark laughter. As a writer-performer, Ky leans into contrast: earnest delivery of ridiculous statements, high-stakes over low-stakes scenarios, and real emotional vulnerability filtered through a surreal lens. A standout in the NYC indie comedy world, he uses nuance and timing to make even the quietest joke land with impact. His love for structured improv and long-form bits anchors SuiteTooth’s more character-driven sketches and meta-moments.

SEAN C. MAKO
Sean has been making the East Coast laugh since 1993 with his unique whit and incongruent optimistic pessimism. He studied his craft at various studios and conservatories including UCB, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and The Magnet Theatre.
Previous roles include: Ichabod Crane in "The Legend of Sleepy Hallow" Ben in Pinter’s "The Dumb Waiter," Stan in that one improv scene that one time. Background in "Divorced", Jack Daniel’s Assistant in "A Bad History Channel Reenactment Show That Rudely Cut Him Out (But He’s Not Bitter About It)", and Reggie the village idiot in the 2016 NY Ren' Faire season. Sean has 3 Associate Degrees and is working on his fourth for business.
Comedic Style
Smart chaos with philosophical undertones and dry, meta wit.
Sean C. Mako is the wildcard-intellectual of SuiteTooth—a performer who’ll drop a Marxist critique mid-sketch just to pivot into a fart joke seconds later. His comedy lives at the intersection of structure and entropy: think Beckett meets Eric Andre. Mako often plays characters who are either in complete denial of their own chaos or uncomfortably aware of the world’s. He excels at toeing the line between high-concept and dumb-funny, making you laugh while questioning the premise of your own laughter. Onstage, Sean uses his theatrical training to heighten moments with gravitas, only to undercut them with a perfectly timed punchline or non sequitur. He thrives in narrative sketches with surreal themes and monologues that spiral toward breakdowns or breakthroughs.

NIC ROCKWELL
Nic began his improv journey at the beginning of 2016. He started at Reckless Theatre NYC under the instruction of Rachel Rosenthal. This is where the obsession begins.
Nic progressed through the UCB NYC core curriculum and has periodically taken advanced courses through the institution. From here he branched out to The Magnet, The PIT, Improvolution, Second City, and Brooklyn Comedy Collective to complete all the core programs.
Nic has created and performed with multiple indie teams around the city. Venues include The PIT, The Magnet, UCB, BCC, Young Ethels, Ottos Shrunken Head, Fun & Dumb Festival, and Shillelagh Tavern.
Presently, Nic coaches and teaches improv, has created specialty workshops, themed drop-in courses, helped indie teams find their voice and enhance scene work.
Comedic Style:
Ensemble-focused, emotionally intelligent, and grounded in playful realism.
Nic Rockwell is the architect of group dynamics within SuiteTooth Comedy. His style is rooted in clear character motivations, honest scene work, and heightened everyday moments. Where some comics chase the biggest laugh, Nic finds comedy in the smallest shift—a raised eyebrow, a slight pause, or a choice that turns mundane into memorable. He thrives in grounded scenes with absurd overlays, anchoring fantastical premises in emotional truth. Whether coaching or performing, Nic emphasizes listening, pacing, and support—skills that give SuiteTooth its signature sense of controlled spontaneity. His sketches often explore social norms, workplace absurdities, and human awkwardness with an understated charm that lingers.
